American Hero IRA HAMILITON HAYS, a Pima Indian and member of the Colorado River Community in Sacaton, Arizona was celebrated for the 69th time for his role in World War II where he fought the Japs for the Island of Iwo Jima. He and several soldiers took the islands summit and raised a battleship's flag for all to see.
