Confederates troops attack Union Troops Sunday at Picacho Peak during the State Parks "Civil War in the SouthWest" Celebration featuring reenactors from all over the southwestern United States. Groups like Fort Huachua's B Troop a Union Cavalry group particpated in the Battle for thousands of visitors during the weekend. The Battle for Glorieta Pass in New Mexico was a seige over control of the south western US and the Union crippled the South ability to wage war by finding their supplies and burning them.
